I have use TaxAct desktop for many years. For the first time I used the assisted online system. It was so easy to use that I finished my taxes in a very short time. The system guided me to import my previous year and populated the current year simplyfing to the minimum my data entry for accuracy..

I have been using TaxAct since my 2009 Individual Federal return. Filing is easy but you can always call them for answers to your questions. This year's format to complete your 1040 return was the easiest one ever. If you used TaxAct in the prior year, they also pre-fill information for the various companies from which you received salary, interest, dividends, retirement income so all you need to do is to update amounts. I file in early April since I do not get all my 1099 forms until mid-March but you can pay in advance to lock in their cost which is great. I highly recommend TaxAct.
