I have used TaxAct for the past 5 years. the quick and efficient process that the program uses to complete your taxes from start to finish is excellent. the check system for finding errors, problems, issues is easy to understand and extremely helpful. the whole process is great for a person completing their own taxes and being given confidence that the paperwork is done correctly

I received the cheapest tax file, but you are not able to look at what you put in before you send. One thing was left out, and I found out when I sent my tax forms. Just make sure to be careful when doing your taxes. Otherwise this is a great application.

Easy to file using Tax Act forms & following promp

Great for Federal taxes. Easy to do & answers questions if you don't understand something. HOWEVER, . I no longer do my Indiana taxes on Tax Axt. $54 to pull info from Federal form & apply to State form. Cannot afford this. State taxes used to be free also, but it appears Tax Act is taking advantage now.

My only complaint would be that there was no button asking if we needed to file a State return. It kept asking me to file my state taxes but, I don't have to file state taxes. I am a retiree of the State and therefore not required. So, I think you should add a line asking if a person needs to file rather than assuming they have to file.

The TaxAct site is easy to navigate with easy to read/understand instructions. Each form section is a series of questions that are pertinent to that form. If you make a mistake along the line, it is relatively easy to go back.
