NOT HAPPY WITH TAXACT APP AND STAFF

I entered my cc and the merchant accepted the transaction but TaxAct claimed it didn't go through. The CSR, D in Washington State that helped me was RUDE and helped me as little as possible. The TaxAct Application is very expensive $250 which was supposed to be free for a senior. I won't use it next year. Now I have to spend time getting payment to the IRS straightened out. I believe TaxAct over charged me. I changed from a windows laptop to a MacBook Pro and the CSR, M, claimed she couldn't find my previous payment.
Confusing instructions regarding K-1 information

I could not retrieve the K-1 information from Tax Act for my rentals except in PDF. I then had to upload them, and it was very confusing because Tax Act made me do additional K-1s due to Box 1 and Box 2 having information. There has to be a better way. The K-1s probably took me over 3 hours to figure out the problem, even though the program had copies of the K-1s, but the instructions were very confusing. Claude.ai helped me figure out the issue.

Back in April there was a problem with our Maine state return. After several very frustrating phone calls I was finally told to file it manually while they worked to correct the issue. I filed for an extension instead and when I went back to try again a couple weeks ago the problem had not been fixed. It took several more calls, but finally someone elevated the situation and promised to call me with a status update last Friday. She did but had no solution and said she would call me again on Monday. No call Monday or today (Tuesday) and since the deadline is only two days away I felt I needed to go ahead with the manual option. I went back into TaxAct to file our federal return and noticed we now had the state refund that was not working before. I am glad it is done, but very disappointed that nobody bothered to tell me I could go ahead and file now.
