To claim a refund, send written notice to TaxAct, Inc. at 1425 60th Street NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402 within 60 days of the date you filed your return. Include a paper copy of the TaxAct return, a data file copy of the TaxAct return, and a paper copy of the return from the other tax preparation product. If you used one of TaxAct's online products, the data file is not required.
You’ll pay the price listed at the time you create your return, no matter when you file.
We guarantee that if you complete your return using any of our online products, you will pay the product price listed for that product at the time you started your return.
If we charge you more than the price listed at the time you started your return, we will reimburse you for the difference. To claim a reimbursement, send written notice to TaxAct, Inc. at 1425 60th Street NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402 within 30 days of the date you filed your return. Include a copy of the TaxAct offer through which you registered, a paper copy of your TaxAct return, confirmation from the IRS that your return was received or e-filed, and any other pertinent data that verifies the date when you fully registered and when you printed or e-filed.
Rest assured, TaxAct guarantees the calculations on your return are 100% correct.
If you are assessed a penalty from the IRS or state taxing authority due to a calculation error in a TaxAct product, we'll pay the penalty and interest. See limitations below.
This guarantee does not apply if you use a TaxAct product to prepare returns for others. This guarantee does not apply if you override amounts within your tax return or if you fail to enter all required information accurately. To claim a reimbursement, send written notice to TaxAct, Inc. at 1425 60th Street NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402 within 30 days of the IRS or state imposing a penalty. Include a paper copy and a data file copy of the TaxAct return, a copy of the penalty notification from the IRS and any other pertinent data that may be requested in order to determine if the penalty was indeed due to a TaxAct calculation error. Note: If you used TaxAct Online or Express, the data file is not required.
