This guarantee does not apply if you use a TaxAct product to prepare returns for others. This guarantee does not apply if you override amounts within your tax return or if you fail to enter all required information accurately. To claim a reimbursement, send written notice to TaxAct, Inc. at 1425 60th Street NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402 within 30 days of the IRS or state imposing a penalty. Include a paper copy and a data file copy of the TaxAct return, a copy of the penalty notification from the IRS and any other pertinent data that may be requested in order to determine if the penalty was indeed due to a TaxAct calculation error. Note: If you used TaxAct Online or Express, the data file is not required.
We guarantee that you will get your maximum tax refund if you use one of TaxAct's individual 1040 products to e-file your return.
If you get a larger refund or smaller tax due with the same data in another tax preparation product, we will refund the product price you paid for your TaxAct tax software fees. If you used TaxAct Free Edition, we will give you $4.99. To claim a refund, send written notice to TaxAct, Inc. at 1425 60th Street NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402 within 60 days of the date you filed your return. Include a paper copy of the TaxAct return, a data file copy of the TaxAct return, and a paper copy of the return from the other tax preparation product. If you used one of TaxAct's online products, the data file is not required.
