Electronic Filing goes through TaxAct®, to be transmitted to the IRS. The electronic filing module is included in the TaxAct Professional Editions.

E-filing with TaxAct is available for Federal 1040, 1065, 1120S, 1120, 1041 and 990 returns. State e-filing is available for those states that assess personal income tax and for many business and estate and trust returns. See State Program Release Dates to determine which TaxAct state programs offer e-filing.

For further information regarding electronic filing, including pricing, see E-Filing with TaxAct Professional Tax Software.

You must have an IRS-verified Electronic Filing Identification Number (EFIN) in order to submit returns professionally through TaxAct. If you don't have an EFIN, or if you have not yet sent IRS EFIN verification to TaxAct, see below for more information.
