Update Email Address or Mobile Phone Number

To update your email address:

  1. Sign In with your username and password.
    Note. If you have forgotten your username or password, click the Forgot username or password? link. To retrieve your username or reset your password, you must have access to the contact info associated with your TaxAct Account.
  2. In your TaxAct Account, click the My Preferences tile.
  3. Click the Manage link next to your email address.
  4. Edit your email address.
  5. Click the Update Email button. TaxAct will email you a verification code to enter on the next page.
  6. Copy the verification code from your email and enter it in the Verification Code field. Click Verify Email.

To update your mobile phone number:

  1. Sign In with your username and password.
    Note. If you have forgotten your username or password, click the Forgot username or password? link. To retrieve your username or reset your password, you must have access to the contact info associated with your TaxAct Account.
  2. In your TaxAct Account, click the My Preferences tile.
  3. Click the Manage link next to your Mobile Phone Number.
  4. Edit your mobile phone number.
  5. Click the Update Phone button. TaxAct will text you a verification code to enter on the next page.
  6. Copy the verification code from your text and enter it in the Verification Code field. Click Verify Phone.
