Installing after Saving

Once you have downloaded the TaxAct State Install program, locate the file and double-click to start the installation.

Selecting the State for a Return

If you have installed the TaxAct state program and it is not attached to a return, you may "select" it to add it to the tax return.

  1. Launch the TaxAct program.
  2. Click Return, click State, then click Add/Remove State... .
  3. Check the appropriate state, then click OK. If your state does not appear, you will first need to install the state module.
