How Do I Optimize My Download with My Dial-Up Connection?

If you are using a dial-up connection and are trying to download the full TaxACT program or an update to a previously installed program and experience difficulties with disconnects or time-outs, please use the following tips:

  • Try your download again. We have multiple download servers in various locations. Perhaps you are experiencing an issue with reaching a certain geographical location. Trying again will cause you to be assigned to a new download server.
  • Try using a download manager to assist with your download.
  • We also offer the TaxACT program in CD format. You may contact our Sales department and we can cancel your "Download" order and replace your order as a CD order (shipping and handling charges will apply).
