Windows Firewall

If you are attempting to connect to the TaxACT.Com website to log in or access your download page, your PC may be blocking access due to the firewall settings on your PC. Please follow the link below to configure your Windows Firewall settings: Firewall Settings

3rd Party Firewalls

If you are receiving "prohibited access" or "page not available" errors in your web browser when trying to access TaxACT on the internet due to advanced features on our website pages, you may not be able to access some features we offer if you are using a third party firewall product such as Zone Alarm or Black Ice.

If using Zone Alarm or Zone Alarm Pro, please try the following:

  1. Go to your Site List, locate any entry.
  2. Right click on it, then click to remove it.
  3. Now manually add it back to the Site List by clicking on 'add'.
  4. Once added, right click on it again
  5. Select "Options"
  6. Go through all 3 tabs un-checking everything and clicking 'apply' as you go through all options.
  7. Now clean your cache and try the site again.

In an effort to provide you with the best service and safest product possible, if you continue to experience problems, please disable your firewall software temporarily in order to take advantage of our website products and services.
