Preparing Your State Return

Once you've completed the Federal Q&A process, the next step is to complete your state return.

TaxAct® State Editions become available in January each year. Answer a few state specific questions and your state return is finished, too.

To prepare your State Return, do the following:

Click the Statetab. On smaller devices, click in the upper left-hand corner, then choose State.
Click Add State
Choose your State and click Continue
Answer a few state specific questions

To prepare multiple state returns, return to the State Q&A, choose another state, and then repeat the process.
