If you recently updated your Social Security Number (SSN) you might not be able to file your return electronically as the IRS updates their E-Filing Database only 1 time a year. The update is generally done around late October, early November. If your name or Social Security Number changed after that date, you will need to print and mail your return to the IRS and/or state (if applicable).
