Early Release Versions - Released in December

  • Federal Online 1040: Free, Deluxe, Premier, and Self-Employed
  • Federal Desktop 1040: Basic, Deluxe, Premier, and Self-Employed
  • Business 1065 / 1120 / 1120-S / 990
  • Estates and Trusts 1041

Final Versions - Released in January

  • Federal Online 1040: Free, Deluxe, Premier, and Self-Employed
  • Federal Desktop 1040: Basic, Deluxe, Premier, and Self-Employed
  • Estates and Trusts 1041
  • Business Sole Proprietor /1065 / 1120 / 1120-S / 990
  • TaxAct State Programs* 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, and 1120-S

*The state programs begin releasing in early January and continue to release throughout the months of January and February. Please view our list of state release dates.

You may download the early release desktop version of the software programs once they are released by signing in to your account. Once signed in, click the Orders and Downloads tile.
