Professional Editions: Client Portals - File Approval Requests (Taxpayer)

If your preparer has requested approval on one or more files, follow these steps to review and submit your decision:

  1. Click Approve File in the email you receive.
  2. Log in to your account.
  3. Click the Files tab.
  4. Under From [Company Name], locate the file.
  5. Click the yellow Pending Approval button to review the file, then choose Approve or Reject.
    • If the file can be previewed, click Approve or Reject near the bottom of the preview window.
    • If the file cannot be previewed, you will be prompted to Download the file to review it before clicking Approve or Reject.

Approve

If you click Approve, you will see a disclaimer. If you agree, click Approve again to submit your decision.

Reject

If you click Reject, enter a reason for the rejection, then click Reject to submit your decision. The reason you enter is included with the email notification that your preparer receives.
