The TaxAct® Online program resides on our servers and all updates are done there. This means you don't need to run program updates or install software on your computer.
To add a state to your return after completing the Federal Q&A:
- On the screen titled Should we continue to your state tax return?, click Continue.
- If you're not taken to this screen, click State on the left to expand, then click Add State.
- If you've already added a state to your return, click Continue to proceed through the questions for each state, or click the state name (or two-letter acronym) under the State menu. To add another state to your return, click Add State.
