To check the status of your electronically filed state return, visit the TaxAct E-File and Tax Refund Status webpage. Enter your Social Security Number, ZIP Code, and Last Name to see the status of both your federal and state returns.

Acknowledgments and refunds often take longer for state returns than for federal returns. Some states may take as long as ten days to acknowledge an e-filed return.

TaxAct can’t provide information about the status of your state refund. If your state return has been accepted and you have questions, contact your state agency.
