To correct error codes for Forms W-2, W-2G, or 1099-R:
- Click Forms
In the Forms List, click to expand the FEDERAL Forms folder, then click to expand Documents Received.Choose the form that needs to be corrected (refer to your rejection notice to determine the form with the error).
- In TaxAct Online returns, click Tools down the left to expand, then click Forms Assistant.
- In TaxAct Desktop returns, click Forms in the menu at the top of the screen.
The Payer State and Zip Code must both be completed and valid. If you have entered a 9-digit ZIP code, remove the +4 digits.
Repeat the Filing steps to resubmit your return.
