If you need to update your payment information for an existing pre-order, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Sign In to your TaxAct account. (You can use the blue Sign In button in the upper right corner, the far right of the menu bar on any TaxAct web page.)
  2. After signing in, choose the Orders and Downloads tile.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on update credit card information
  4. Locate the Order ID and click on it to update the credit card information
  5. The next page will allow you to update the credit card information. Once you've entered the new information, click on Update Card Info. This page will also provide additional details about the order below the credit card information.


You may also contact our Customer Service line at 319-373-3600 during normal business hours. One of our representatives would be happy to assist you in updating the credit card information on the pre-order you have made.

Please Note: The software is billed upon release at different times.
