Since 2017, downloading is the only format available when ordering our desktop software products.
We strongly recommend our TaxAct Online Edition. This is an especially useful option for those that live outside the United States and have access to the Internet. By using the Online Edition, you avoid the hassle of saving, securing, and backing up your return on your hard drive. Your TaxAct Online return is completed on our website, and then stored on our secure servers.
TaxAct Online Edition is available as an evaluation version in December to allow you to get an early start. The final version is released in January.
