WebView2: Error When Installing

If you receive an error message when installing WebView2, this may be caused when the update to WebView2 is done by the Managed User and not the Admin User. To correct the error, update as the Admin using the following steps.

  1. Log in as Admin User.
  2. Navigate to the Download the WebView2 Runtime page on the Microsoft website.
  3. Run install as Admin User.
  4. Complete the install.
  5. Sign out.

The Managed User should then be able to sign in and run the application.
