Multiple Charges

If you see multiple charges on your credit card, review your TaxAct account to check the status of your filings. The e-filing status will help you understand why you may see multiple charges.

  • If you purchase the federal program, and then later add a state (or states), you will see multiple charges as these orders are processed separately.
  • If your e-file submission is rejected, you may incur an additional charge in some circumstances. See e-Filing - Charges for Resubmitting for details.
  • If you added new products or upgraded your program after submitting your return, these changes may result in additional charges.
