Ohio RITA Municipalities

If Form W-2 Wage and Tax Statement lists a RITA city, TaxAct will create the necessary RITA return.

To confirm whether you live in a RITA city, visit RITA Municipalities.

TaxAct allows you to enter up to 24 lines in the bottom section of Form W-2. If you need more than that, you will need to paper file your return.

To create a RITA return:

  1. From within your TaxAct return (Online or Desktop), click State, then click Ohio (or OH). On smaller devices, click in the upper left-hand corner, then click State.
  2. Click City Return in the Ohio Quick Q&A Topics menu, then click Review on the RITA Form 37, Individual Income Tax Return row.
  3. On the screen titled Ohio - Form W-2 Summary, click Edit on a Form W-2, complete PART A in the Quick Start window, then click Save & Close.
  4. Continue with the interview process to enter all of the appropriate information.
