To check "No" on Form 990 Return of Organization Exempt From Income Tax, Page 1, Section H(a) Is this a group return for subordinates?:

1. From within your TaxAct return (Desktop), click Federal. On smaller devices, click in the upper left-hand corner, then click Federal.
2. Click Basic Information in the Federal Quick Q&A Topics menu to expand, then click Group Exemption.
3. Continue with the interview process to enter all of the appropriate information.
4. On the screen titled Group Exemption, click No if this is not a group return for subordinates.

When you do a print preview of Form 990, the Section H(a) "No" box will be checked.
