Add or Update Your Pre-Order Payment Information

To update your credit card in TaxAct Professional Editions:

  1. Go to and click the Sign In button in the upper right corner of the page.

  2. Enter your TaxAct Account Username and Password.

  3. You may be asked to verify your account by phone or email.

  4. Once signed into your account, click on the Orders and Downloads tile.

  5. Scroll to the bottom of your Orders and Download page and click the link to “update credit card information”.

  6. If you have any uncharged pre-orders, you will see them listed. Click on the Order ID of the order you wish to update.

  7. Enter your credit card information and click the “Update Card Info” button.

You should see a green confirmation message once you successfully update your credit card. You should also see the last 4 of your credit card number appear in the Card Number field.
