If the return was rejected for the reason "If Item H checkbox is not checked and Line 1 has a value equal to or greater than 5,000, then Schedule B (Form 990, 990-EZ, or 990-PF) must be attached to the Return (Rule Number: F990EZ-034-01)," you will need to check the box for Item H.

To get Item H checked, you must indicate the reason on Schedule B. For example, if you check General Rule on Schedule B, the Schedule H checkbox will be checked.

To enter or review information on Schedule B:

1. From within your TaxAct return (Online or Desktop) click Federal. On smaller devices, click in the upper left-hand corner, then select Federal
2. Click Schedules in the Federal Quick Q&A menu to expand the category and then click Schedule B - Schedule of Contributors
3. Click New Copy of Federal Schedule B Contributors (Desktop users click Add) to create a new copy of the schedule or Review to review the Federal Schedule of Contributors
4. After making corrections, repeat the Filing steps to resubmit the return.
