Use the steps below if you paid mortgage interest and the amounts are NOT reported on Form 1098:

1. From within your TaxAct return (Online or Desktop), click Federal. On smaller devices, click the menu icon in the upper left-hand corner, then select Federal 
2. Click Itemized or Standard Deductions to expand the category and then click Interest expenses
3. On the screen titled Did you receive Form 1098 reporting mortgage interest?, check the "I also paid mortgage interest that was not reported on Form 1098" checkbox and then click No. 
4. The program will proceed with the interview questions for you to enter or review the appropriate information.
