The return status, payment status, or preparer assigned to the return, all can be updated manually by right-clicking the return in the Client Manager and selecting Edit Client(s) Information. When the box opens to edit the client, those items can be changed by scrolling to the bottom for the section titled Return Information.
While clicking returns in the Client Manager, you may also use the Ctrl key on the keyboard to select multiple returns to update simultaneously, use the Shift key with your mouse to select a range, or use the Shift key and the up or down arrow keys after clicking on the first return. Once you have selected the client returns you want, right-click one of the highlighted returns, then select Edit Client(s) Information. You can also click the Edit currently selected client information icon in the upper left above the Client Manager.
