Each time you sign in, you are prompted to verify your identity via a 6-digit verification code sent by text (standard text rates apply), email (only if you do not receive the code via text), or using an authenticator app. This extra layer of protection ensures only you can access your account.
To choose how to receive your code, follow these steps:
Mobile Phone to receive verification codes as a text on your phone.
If you prefer to use an authenticator app (Duo, Microsoft Authenticator, or Google Authenticator) on your mobile device, click Set Up and follow the prompts.
Tips
Codes expire after a few minutes. You can request a new one if your current one has expired. Always copy and paste the correct, most recent code
Select Remember this device when logging in if you're using a trusted, private computer to reduce repeated verification.
If you select this option and are still prompted to enter a verification code the next time you sign in, make sure cookies are not blocked in your browser settings.
The full ten-digit phone number must be entered and must be a domestic number. Foreign phone numbers are not supported.
Code Not Received
If you do not receive the code, review the following options:
If you are not receiving the code via text message, make sure that your phone has service, is not in airplane mode, is able to accept or receive short code text, and is not set to block unknown numbers.
If you are still not receiving the code by text, you can click Update Mobile which will send a code to the email on file. Enter the verification code that you received via email. Then, update your mobile number. You will receive a code on the new mobile number. Enter the code to verify your mobile number and log in.
If the code is sent to an email address, check your email folders: spam, junk, promotions if you don’t see it in your inbox.
You can select to resend the code on the verification screen
If you are unable to receive the code via text or email, complete the alternative verification process by following these steps:
On the screen Enter the code we sent… click Verify another way.
Click Confirm your identity.
Fill out the questionnaire with your current contact information.
Click Next, then follow the instructions to verify your identity.
There are five steps to the account recovery process. If you need to change your email address or phone number, you may do so after completing the steps and logging into your account.
