To receive your verification code via mobile phone as a text message: (standard text rates apply)

  1. Go to and enter your username and password. Sign in to your TaxAct Account.

  2. Click the My Preferences tile.

  3. Click manage next to Mobile Phone and enter your phone number. A verification code will be texted to you. Enter the code within one hour to verify your phone number. To enter the code later (or to request a new code), click "unverified" next to Mobile Phone.

  4. Change your primary authentication method from email to mobile phone under "Primary Authentication Method".
