TaxAct supports Form 8594 Asset Acquisition Statement Under Section 1060 in the following programs:

  • Form 1040 (Individual)
  • 1041(Estate and Trust)
  • 1065 (Partnership)
  • 1120 (Corporation)
  • 1120-S (S-Corporations)

Per the IRS schema for the e-filing of returns, only one copy of Form 8594 is allowed to be e-filed per return. To file multiple copies, you will need to manually complete the additional copies, attach them to the return, and paper-file the return.

Below are the instructions if you prefer to complete each form in the program, print it off, then delete the form so you can recreate it to do the additional copies needed. Alternatively you can use these steps to create the first copy of the form in the program and then click the Form 8594 link at the top to access a fillable form on the IRS website for your additional copies.

To complete Form 8594 in your TaxAct program:

  1. Sign in to your TaxAct Online return.
  2. Click Tools down the left to expand, then click Forms Assistant.
  3. Click to expand the FEDERAL Forms folder, then click to expand the Forms and Schedules folder.
  4. Click Form 8594 - Asset Acquisition Statement.
  5. Click Add to create a copy of the form where the information can be entered or click Edit to review a form already created.
  1. From within your TaxAct return, click Forms in the top left corner.
  2. Click to expand the Federal folder, then click to expand the Forms and Schedules folder.
  3. Double-click Form 8594 - Asset Acquisition Statement.
  4. Enter the information directly on the form.
