Release Dates - Professional Editions

The TaxAct® Professional programs start releasing in late October and are updated periodically throughout the filing season.

Federal Professional Editions - Released in late October

  • Professional Editions 1040 / 1041 / 1065 / 1120 / 1120S / 990

State Professional Editions - Released in early January

  • The state programs begin releasing in early January and continue to release throughout the month of January. For details on individual states, visit the Professional State Editions release page.

You may download the programs once they are released by signing in to your account. Once you are signed in, you will need to click on Orders and Downloads.
