Review Banking Information for E-Filed Return

If you have e-filed your return(s), and they have been accepted, you can confirm the information (including the routing and account number(s) entered for purposes of direct debit or direct withdrawal (refund or amount due and estimated payments elected to be direct withdrawal) when you electronically filed your return(s)), by following these steps:

  1. Sign in to your TaxAct Online return.
  2. Click Print Center to expand, then click Custom Print.
  3. Click to expand the FEDERAL Forms folder, then click to expand the Forms and Schedules folder.
  4. Click Federal Form 8888 - Your Name (you may need to scroll down in the section to locate the item).
  5. Click to expand the Documents and Worksheets folder, then click Federal Bank Account Worksheet - Bank Account: and Federal E-filing Information - Your Name.
  6. Click Print, then click the PDF link. The item will appear in a PDF read-only format. At that time, you can click the Printer icon on the screen to actually print, or close the window without printing.

For returns that have an amount owed or estimated payments set up, follow the steps below:

  1. Sign in to your TaxAct Online return.
  2. Click Print Center to expand, then click Custom Print.
  3. Click Federal Basic Information - Your Name.
  4. Click Print, then click the PDF link. The item will appear in a PDF read-only format. At that time, you can click the Printer icon on the screen to actually print, or close the window without printing.

Note. If you see a message indicating you have not paid your return fees, click the View/Pay your return fees link, which will direct you through the Paper Filing steps. Continue through the screens until you have processed the payment for your product fees and then repeat the steps to print.

  1. Start your TaxAct Desktop program, then click Forms in the top left corner.
  2. Click to expand the Federal folder, then click to expand the Forms and Schedules folder.
  3. Scroll down and click to expand Federal Form 8888 - Allocation of Refund (Including Bond Purchases), then double-click the copy you wish to print.
  4. Click the pink Printer icon above the form.
  5. Click to expand the Federal folder, then click to expand the Information Worksheets folder.
  6. Scroll down and click to expand Bank Account - Bank Account Information folder, then double-click the copy you wish to print.
  7. Click the pink Printer icon above the form.
  8. Click to expand the Federal folder, then click to expand the Information Worksheets folder.
  9. Scroll down and click to expand E-Filing Notes and Explanations - E-Filing Information.
  10. Double-click the copy you wish to print, then click the pink Printer icon above the form.
