Federal Form 1040NR U.S. Nonresident Alien Income Tax Return is now available in the TaxAct® program.

To determine if you need to file Form 1040NR, please follow the steps below:

1. From within your TaxAct return (Online or Desktop), click on the Basic Info tab. On smaller devices, click the menu icon in the upper left-hand corner, then select Basic Info
2. Click Continue until you reach the screen titled Name, Social Security Number and Date of Birth
3. Click the link Should you file a Form 1040NR - U.S. Nonresident Alien Income Tax Return?
4. The program will proceed with the interview questions for you to enter or review the appropriate information
