The online backup service included with the TaxAct® Professional Enterprise Edition for the 2016 tax year expires May 1, 2020. After this date, you will be unable to access your 2016 client data online.

To download your client data from our secure servers (must be done by May 1)

  1. Open your TaxAct 2016 Professional Enterprise Edition software
  2. Select File and then Restore from the menu
  3. Select Client Return(s) to launch the Restore Wizard
  4. Select Online (not Local) and click Next
  5. The wizard will then walk you through downloading your data from our online servers.

You will need your username and password to access your account. If you have forgotten this information, click Forgot your Username? or Forgot your Password? within the Restore Wizard to retrieve your information.
