Dependents - Entering Type Information in Program

To enter or review the dependent type information in your TaxAct^® return (if you need help accessing the dependent section in the TaxAct program, go to our Dependents - Entering and Reviewing FAQ):

1. From within the Dependent section, scroll down to How would you describe them?
2. Click the dropdown below Dependent Type, and click the option that applies to your dependent.
