There are three worksheets in the TaxAct® program that provide information and show calculations regarding IRA contributions. These worksheets are:

  • The IRA Contribution Summary - for entering amounts you have or will contribute
  • The Traditional IRA - Deductible Contributions Worksheet - for the calculation of the allowable deductible traditional IRA
  • The Roth IRA Contribution Worksheet - for the calculation of the allowable Roth IRA

To view any of these worksheets in your TaxAct program:

  1. From within your TaxAct Online return, click Print Center down the left to expand, then click Custom Print.
  2. Check what you wish to print (the top section contains individual forms or schedules and the bottom section contains documents or worksheets). You may need to scroll down in the section to locate the items.
  3. Click Print, then click the PDF link. Click the printer icon or the save icon (available when you hover your mouse over the PDF form) to print or save the PDF copy.

If you are using the Free Federal Edition, you may be prompted to upgrade your return.

Note. If you see a message indicating that you have not paid your return fees, click the View/Pay your return fees link, which will direct you through the Paper Filing steps. Continue through the screens until you have processed the payment for your product fees and then repeat the steps to print.

  1. Start your TaxAct Desktop program, then click Forms in the top left corner of the toolbar to open the Forms View.
  2. Click to expand the Federal folder, then click to expand the Worksheets folder.
  3. Double-click Form 1040 IRA Summary - IRA Contribution Summary, Form 1040 Traditional IRA - Traditional IRA Worksheet, or Form 1040 Roth IRA - Roth IRA Worksheet.
  4. Click the Printer icon above the worksheet to print. You can send the output to a printer or a PDF document and also just do a "print preview" of the worksheet.
