From within your TaxAct Online return, click the Tools dropdown, then click Forms Assistant.
Click + next to the FEDERAL Forms manila folder (if it is not already expanded), then click + next to the Forms and Schedules manila folder (if it is not already expanded).
Click Form 4972 - Taxpayer (or Spouse) - Tax on Lump-Sum Distributions: Quick Entry Available.
Click + Add to create a new copy of the form or click Form to review a form already created.
From within your TaxAct Desktop return, click Forms in the options bar to view the Forms Explorer (if it is not already visible).
Click Federal from the dropdown in forms explorer, then click the Forms and Schedules dropdown.
Scroll down and click Form 4972 - Taxpayer (or Spouse) - Tax on Lump-Sum Distributions (if you already entered information on this form, it will appear in the Forms View).
Enter the information directly on the form.
