Page 2 of Schedule C (Form 1040) Profit or Loss From Business is only printed if IRS-required information is included. Page 2 of Schedule C does not print if there are no relevant entries for that page; however, Page 2 will not print without Page 1. You can print a blank copy of Schedule C (including page 2) from the IRS website.

Page 1 of Schedule C prints with the return when any of the following are not zero:

  • Line 1: Gross receipts or sales
  • Line 7: Gross income
  • Line 28: Total expenses
  • Line 29: Tentative profit or (loss)
  • Line 31: Net profit or (loss)

Page 2 of Schedule C prints with the return when any of the following are not zero:

  • Line 40: Add lines 35 through 35 (Total costs)
  • Line 42: Cost of goods sold
  • Line 43: When did you place your vehicle in service for business purposes? (month/day/year)
  • Line 44a: Business (number of miles driven for 2020)
  • Line 48: Total other expenses
