A TaxAct username is the unique identifier to an account, and cannot be changed.

If you want a different username, you will have to Create a New Account, and create a username as part of the process.  If you want to change other information in your TaxAct Account, go to our Look Up Username or Reset Password FAQ.

Prior year returns and software purchases cannot be moved to a new account.
