Auto-Attach States to all Returns

To add state(s) to each new or imported client return in your TaxAct Professional program:

  1. From within your TaxAct Professional Edition program, click Preparer in the upper menu bar, then click Preferences.
  2. Click Miscellaneous, scroll down to the Miscellaneous section, then click the Checkbox next to Automatically attach selected states with new or imported returns.
  3. Click Select States, then click the Checkboxes next to the states you wish to attach.
  4. Click Save & Close, then click Save and Exit

Now each new client return will have the selected states attached automatically. This will not affect returns already created.

Note. You may need to exit and restart the program to ensure these changes are complete.
