To get back to the TaxAct Q&A Interview, follow the steps below.
Online
Dashboards
- From within your TaxAct return, click Resources.
- On smaller devices, click the menu at the top left corner of your screen, then make your selection.
- Under the My Return section, select Federal Search.
- Below Step-by-Step Guidance, click Get Started.
From the left menu, you can select the relevant dashboard (About, Income, Deductions & Credits, or Taxes & Miscellaneous) to search for and add specific topics or forms to your return.
If you are not sure which dashboard to pick, go to Resources > My Return > Federal Search and use the search bar to search all federal topics.
Classic Navigation
- From within your TaxAct return, click Federal.
- On smaller devices, click the menu at the top left corner of your screen, then make your selection.
- Below Step-by-Step Guidance, click Get Started.
From the left menu, you can select the relevant topic type (Income, Deductions, Credits, Taxes, Miscellaneous) and choose additional forms for your return.
If you are not sure which sub-menu to pick, click on Federal, then use the search bar under Select Topics Myself to search all federal topics.
Desktop
- From within your TaxAct return, click Federal.
- Below Federal Quick Q&A Topics click Step-by-Step Guidance.
You can get back to the Q&A from the Forms view by clicking Q&A near the top of your screen.
