Social Security Number - Entering in Program

To enter or review the taxpayer's or spouse's Social Security Number in the return, follow the steps below. 

Online
Dashboards
  1. From within your TaxAct return, click About.
    • On smaller devices, click the menu at the top left corner of your screen, then make your selection. 
  2. Review the information listed for You, your Spouse, and your Dependents. 
  3. Click Edit or Start to update or enter details. 
  4. Complete the rest of the interview process.  
Classic Navigation
  1. From within your TaxAct return, click Basic Info.
    • On smaller devices, click the menu at the top left corner of your screen, then make your selection. 
  2. Complete the rest of the interview process to enter your SSN.  
Desktop
  1. From within your TaxAct return, click Basic Info.
  2. Click Personal Info or use the interview flow to make your entries or updates.
