Forms SSA-1099 and RRB-1099 - Entering Social Security or Railroad Retirement in Program

To enter or review information from Form SSA-1099, Social Security Benefit Statement, or Form RRB-1099, Railroad Retirement Board Social Security, follow the steps below. 

Online
Dashboard
  1. From within your TaxAct return, click Income. 
    • On smaller devices, click the menu at the top left corner of your screen, then make your selection.
  2. Click the Retirement & Social Security drop-down.
  3. Click Add beside Social Security Benefits (From SSA-1099 or RRB-1099)
  4. Complete the rest of the interview process. 
Classic
  1. From within your TaxAct return, click Federal. 
    • On smaller devices, click the menu at the top left corner of your screen, then make your selection.
  2. Click Social Security Benefits (SSA).
  3. Complete the rest of the interview process. 
Desktop
  1. From within your TaxAct return, click Federal. 
  2. Click Social Security Benefits (SSA).
  3. Complete the rest of the interview process.
