Preparer - Form 9325 Ack and Gen Info for Taxpayers Who E-File Returns
1

Form 9325, Acknowledgement and General Information for Taxpayers Who File Returns Electronically can be used to convey information to customers by an Electronic Return Originator (ERO), and would be completed by the ERO as the filer of the return.

At the bottom, this form states: "Note: EROs can use the Acknowledgement File information, translated by the transmitter, to complete Form 9325."

TaxAct, as the transmitter of the return, provides all of this information to the ERO in the form of an acknowledgment email, sent after the IRS has either accepted or rejected the return.

Form 9325 is not available in the TaxAct program, but you can click the previous link to obtain the form from the IRS website.

Note that any link in the information above is updated each year automatically and will take you to the most recent version of the document at the time it is accessed.
