Form 1099-MISC - Entering in Program

To enter or review the information from Form 1099-MISC Miscellaneous Income:

  1. From within your TaxAct® return (Online or Desktop), click Federal. On smaller devices, click in the upper left-hand corner, then select Federal
  2. Click Form 1099-MISC
  3. Click +Add Form 1099-MISC to create a new Form 1099-MISC or click Review to modify an existing Form 1099-MISC
  4. Enter the Payer's TIN and then click Continue
  5. Enter all of the applicable information from your Form 1099-MISC
  6. On the screen titled What schedule or form should the income on this Form 1099-MISC be reported on?assign the Form 1099-MISC to the applicable Schedule C or Schedule E (if you have not yet completed Schedule C and/or E, you will need to do this first in order to assign the Form 1099-MISC) from the Assigned schedule or form drop down menu
  7. If you selected Other non-business income on the previous screen, check the box to confirm that the income is non-business income and is not subject to self-employment taxes
