Preparer - Client Manager - Edit Client Information

To edit client information:

  1. From within your TaxAct Professional Edition program, click Clients in the options bar (if you are in a return), then click Client Manager (if that screen is not already visible).
  2. Right-click the client record you wish to modify or click Quick Actions next to the client.
  3. Click Edit Client Information.
  4. When you are done editing the information, click Save and Close to save the changes.

Various information can be modified on this screen.

In the Taxpayer section (this section only appears for Form 1040 clients), you can edit:

  • Basic information
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Email address

In the Client Information section (this section does not appear for Form 1040 clients), you can edit:

  • Basic Information
  • Address

In the Contact Information section (this section does not appear for Form 1040 clients, you can edit:

  • Phone number
  • Email address

In the Return Information section, you can edit:

  • Preparer
  • Return Status
  • Payment Status
  • Amount Paid
  • Date Delivered

In the Appointments section, you can view upcoming appointment subjects and start times

Note. There may be a short delay before you see the updated information on the Client Manager screen.
