To print your name in the Paid Preparer's signature box:

1. Start your TaxAct Preparer's program.
2. Click Preparer in the top menu (while viewing the Client Manager - not from within an individual return).
3. Click Master Information, then click General.
4. Under Filing/Printing Options, check Print the preparer's name in the Preparer's Signature Field.

Some states allow the software to transfer the printing of the Preparer's name in the Paid Preparer's signature box of the state return and other states do not. Our understanding is, at this time, New Jersey instructions still state that the Preparer must sign the return and so do not allow the signature to be transferred on those returns.
