Form W-2 - Employer Contributions to Your Health Savings Account (HSA)

The number reported in Box 12 of Form W-2 - Wage and Tax Statement (code "W") is the amount your employer contributed to your health savings account (including cafeteria plan contributions). You'll need to enter this figure in your tax return when adding Form W-2 – see Entering in Program - Form W-2 for details.
To enter the rest of your Health Savings Account information, follow these steps.
Online
Dashboards
From within your TaxAct return, click Deductions & Credits.
On smaller devices, click the menu at the top left corner of your screen, then make your selection.
Under All Tax Breaks, expand Medical.
Choose Add beside HSAContributions.
Complete the rest of the interview process.
Note: The amount from Box 12 of Form W-2 will be pre-filled on the screen Enter your 20YY HSA contributions.
Classic Navigation
From within your TaxAct return, click Federal.
On smaller devices, click the menu at the top left corner of your screen, then make your selection.
In the Federal Quick Q&A Topics panel, click Health Savings Accounts (HSA) >All HSA topics.
Complete the rest of the interview process.

From within your TaxAct return, click Federal.
Expand the Health Savings Accounts (HSA) menu and choose All HSA topics.
