TaxAct® will not always calculate all the possible preference items from the list on IRS Form 6251 Alternative Minimum Tax. Checking or not checking certain boxes will affect the calculations in Form 6251.

To review AMT information in your return, please do the following:

1. From within your TaxAct return (Online or Desktop) click Federal. On smaller devices, click in the upper left-hand corner, then select Federal.
2. Click Taxes in the Federal Quick Q&A Topics menu expand the category and then click Alternative minimum tax.
