Entries made directly on Federal Form 1099-B Proceeds From Broker and Barter Exchange Transactions or during the Investment Income section of the Q&A are only used to transfer information to Form 8949 Sales and Other Dispositions of Capital Assets and Schedule D (Form 1040) Capital Gains and Losses. The Form 1099-B entry in the TaxAct program does not get transmitted with the return, only the information showing on Form 8949 and/or Schedule D.

Note. Form 1099-B can support any entry that needs to be reported on Federal Schedule D.
